CVBC Acts 27:1-44
This sermon on Acts 27 explored Paul's treacherous sea voyage as a prisoner bound for Rome, where he and 275 others faced a violent storm that lasted fourteen days. Through this historical narrative, we discovered that God remains sovereign and faithful even when circumstances seem completely out of control. Luke's detailed account reminds us that when we've exhausted our own strength and "all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned," God is still present, still powerful, and still working out His purposes. This passage challenges us to examine what our lives are built upon—the shifting sand of our own control, or the unmovable Rock of Ages. Most importantly, we were reminded of the foundational truth that we belong to God, purchased by the blood of His Son, and that He will see us through every storm according to His perfect will.
