The Gospel
WHAT IS THE GOSPEL:
The Gospel is the good news, that through the person and work of Jesus Christ, God has accomplished His plan for the redemption of humanity. The plan to rescue sinners from eternal judgment because of their sin and bring them into restored fellowship with Him. All of which was accomplished by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Ultimately the Gospel is the promise and fulfillment of good news. News for humanity and this world to be made whole again to those who turn from their sin and place their trust in Jesus Christ.

The Gospel drives our three primary means of discipleship at CVBC: worship gatherings, small groups, and serving.
Worship Gathering (Gospel-Driven Pulpit):
Each week we gather on Sunday morning to worship God, pray, learn the scriptures through the preached word, and observe the sacraments of Communion and Baptism.
Small Groups (Gospel-Driven Community):
Each week we have small groups and studies that meet throughout the week to encourage one another in the Gospel and to build each other up in the faith.
1. Bible Studies
Bibles Studies are small classes that are committed to walking through books of the Bible or principles of theology and Christian life.
2. Community Groups
Community groups are groups of men and women who gather weekly to discuss the text that was preached the week prior, apply it to our lives, build relationships and encourage one another in the Gospel.
3. Foundation Classes
Foundation Classes are a classroom approach to deepen your understanding of theology, faith, and Christian living. These classes are taught by CVBC Pastors and Deacons.
Serving (Gospel-Driven Mission):
Serving is a critical component to the mission of CVBC. There are many opportunities and needs at CVBC and in our community, but most importantly we want to create opportunities for all members to serve the church in exercising their spiritual gifts for building up and the encouragement of the church.
In addition, we are passionate about sharing the Gospel with our community and beyond so all can come to know, believe, and serve Jesus Christ.
