CVBC Matthew 16:13-16 "Who do you say I am?"

At the heart of the Christian faith lies a question that Jesus himself posed to his disciples in Matthew 16: Who do you say that I am? This isn't just historical curiosity—it's the most important question we'll ever answer. Peter's confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, reveals a profound truth about the person we worship. We often focus on what Jesus has done—his birth, death, resurrection, and promised return—but do we truly understand who he is? Jesus is not merely a moral teacher, divine therapist, or political figure. He is the long-awaited Messiah, the second person of the Trinity, fully God and fully man. This reality changes everything. When we want to know God's thoughts, wisdom, and love, we need only look into the face of Jesus Christ.
