In this sermon, we began unpacking the profound opening words of the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father in heaven." What may seem like a simple introduction is actually the foundation for everything that follows. These four words reveal not only who God is, but also who we are in relation to Him through Christ. The sermon explored how our approach to prayer reflects our understanding of God's character and our identity as His adopted children. When we grasp that we come to God not on our own merits but united with Christ, and that we're speaking to a Father who is both intimately personal and infinitely powerful, it transforms our entire prayer life.
