CVBC Micah 2:1-13 "Injustice and Hope"
Oct 4, 2026 • Luke Wartgow
This sermon walked through Micah chapter 2, examining the particular sins that the prophet confronted in Judah — namely, the covetousness and exploitation practiced by those in power, and the spiritual injustice of those who refused to preach the full counsel of God. Yet even amid those sobering realities, the passage closes with a flicker of hope: God promises to gather and preserve a remnant of His people, led by a shepherd figure who ultimately points us to Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. The sermon reminded us that sin is serious, that God is both merciful and just, and that our only sure foundation is the supremacy of Christ.
